A system configuration snapshot encompasses all configuration of the Jira instance - i.e., all projects, all workflows, all custom fields, etc. are included. With a system snapshot, you can merge one Jira instance with another or promote configuration changes from testing to production instances.
Choose the cog icon at the top right of the screen, then choose Configuration Manager:
Select Snapshotsto open the Configuration Snapshots page and click on the Add Snapshot button. The following dialogue will appear:
If you check the “Include all Dashboards“ option, all dashboards from the system will be included in the snapshot.
4. Select the System Configuration button and enter a name for the snapshot. Optionally enter a description. 5. You can choose to include all filters, Agile boards or dashboards configurations in the snapshot. If a snapshot with that name already exists, a warning will be shown.
6. If you want to see a preview of the snapshot click 'Next' (since CMJ 3.0), otherwise, choose "Create" (step 5).
7. Click the 'Create' button and wait while Configuration Manager creates a snapshot of your Jira instance. A message will be displayed, confirming that Configuration Manager for Jira has successfully created the snapshot. If there were any warnings that you may want to review in CMJ's Audit log.
