Manage Migrations

On this page:

How to manage my migrations?

The Manage Migrations page lists essential information for each migration. This page allows you to view the status and details of your migrations at first glance. In addition to that, you can return to a previously unfinished migration to review or complete it.

Migration states

Each migration you create can be in one of the following states:

  • CREated The migration is created. You can use the View action to resume and complete the migration.

  • Analysis The migration is being analyzed. You can use the View action for analysis progress and details.

  • failed The migration failed. You can open a support request and send us a support zip.
If your migration fails for some reason, you can download and send us a support zip that will help identify the problem.

  • Done The migration completed. You can use the View button to see the summary of the migrated projects, issues and configuration changes.

Viewing migrations when connectivity is lost

If connectivity to the cloud can’t be established for some reason, you won’t be able to return to or open the migration. In the following cases, you’ll have to connect or reconnect to the Jira Cloud site to be able to review the migrations and access all the features:

  • There is no cloud connection to the Jira Cloud site in the Jira account you’re currently using to review the migration.

  • Your cloud credentials become obsolete, or the saved migration’s connection isn’t working for some reason. You’ll have to reconnect to the cloud with valid credentials, and then all the features will be available to you again.
